Steps. Secure the wick to the bottom of your jar. Place two pencils over the mouth of the jar, to either side of the wick. Fill a saucepan with 1 to 2 inches (2.54 to 5.08 centimeters) of water, and place a candle–making pouring pot into it. Add the wax into the pouring pot, and let it melt over medium heat.
Scented candles are great for home decoration and aromatherapy.. Glass jars that are heat resistant work best because you will be pouring hot wax into them.
How to Make Mason-Jar Candles. Prepare the wicks. Trim the wick to be a few inches taller than your mason jar, then use a hot glue gun or glue tab to stick the metal disc to the center of the bottom of the jar. Melt the wax. Add color and scent. Ready, Steady, Pour! Kick back and wait!
