Checkers is a game for two players. Each player receives twelve, flat disk-like pieces which are placed on the black squares in the manner indicated in the diagram at the left. Be sure that a light colored square appears in the lower right hand corner of the board.
Place the board so that each player has a light colored square on the corner of the board on his or her right side. Place the checkers on the board. Have each player place his pieces on the 12 dark squares in the first three rows closest to him or her. Each of these three rows should have a total of 4 checkers.
Setup and Object of Checkers. If an opponent picks up the game, the game will reappear on your game status page in the list where it's your turn to move.
